Vegas P asked: theres this one technique that starts with an S and you stop te photo from developing halfway tru and wash it with water then flash light on it. it sorta reduces shadows and brings out minor detals. i completely spaced the name.

Solarization?

Please see and and decide which term you are looking for. It looks to me as if the technique used to produce the Sabatier Effect is called “Solarization.”
You will certainly recall which term it is that you are looking for once you hear both names. Please come back and tell us which one, if you don’t mind.

It is called the Sabattier Effect (often mistakenly referred to as solarization) . Don’t do this in the schools lab … you may not survive the night.
